Several ways to find recipes

Several ways to find recipes

Within My Recipe Book, you can search for recipes by category.  There are several pre-populated categories, or you can customize the list of categories in settings.

You can also search by Ready time.  If you know you only have 30 minutes, search for a recipe that takes less than 30 minutes from start to finish.  If you have a whole afternoon, try a recipe that takes more than 4 hours.

You can hit the favorites button to see everything you have tagged as a favorite, or touch the queue button to see everything you have lined up in the queue.

If you don’t want to have to decide what to make for dinner tonight, just hit the Surprise Me! button, and we’ll serve up a random recipe for you to make.

  1. I am a huge fan of the My Recipe Book app for iPad. It is the best app for my recipes I can find. I have a few suggestions that would make it perfect for me. The first is concerning the shopping basket. When I add the ingredients for multiple recipes there are often ingredients that are the same (I.e. I need 2 medium onions for one and 1 onion for the other recipe) however the shopping list doesn’t group them together. The app Ziplist automatically groups items by category (Produce, meat, dairy, etc…) which saves time. Also, it allows you to input your favorite stores and then it organizes the list by the aisle in each store. Also a huge timesaver. I hope you can include this in your next upgrade! Thanks!
